Lambdapower sell a variety of sensors suitable for wood burning stoves, oil fired boilers, biomass boilers, industrial furnaces, drying ovens, steel annealing plants, and other process control tasks and industrial-only uses. We have our own-brand replacement for LSU4-9 sensors, and a new improved LSM11B replacement for legacy applications using 4-wire sensors.

Our own LC69001 sensor is a direct upgrade for the Bosch LSU4-9 sensor used in various applications:

Lambdapower wideband sensor interface for industrial oxygen sensor control. Interfaces easily to PC or PLC. Digital data stream and 0-5v analogue outputs. Custom designed and manufactured in the UK, this module gives an easy way to add lambda feedback data to any biomass combustion process.

Manufactured in the UK, we present the improved version of Lambapower's LSM11 replacement. This sensor is updated from Phase I to Phase II. Features improved sensor performance, and rewritten datasheet (version 2.x) with revised technical content, in response to customer feedback.

New Product Updates from Phase I to Phase II:

  1. Improved LSM11 compatibility
  2. More stable output in free air and during use
  3. Two-part "Power Timer" connector is now a standard part
  4. Thicker cables to reduce voltage losses
  5. Larger vents to improve resistance to fly ash
  6. Extended manufacturing procedures and tightened tolerances

Please note these parts are generally manufactured specially for each order. Some parts are available ex-stock for small orders.

Amongst others, this part fits these boilers using LSM11 four wire sensors:

  • Vigas
  • Kriger
  • Woodtek

The LSM11B is NOT suitable for 4-wire NGK OZA685-WW1 (HS Kabeltechnik 118.02-7100).

The LSM11B is for professional use only, it is not suitable for DIY fitment.

Example remote telemetry, 0.9MW pellet burner fitted with LSM11B sensor, Flue Oxygen Content vs Time. Boiler self-cleaning cycle every couple of hours.


A selection of randomly chosen sensors showing comparison between original LSM11 and new improved LSM11B. Adjusting the static set-point will move the graphs along the Y-axis. Shows mV output vs Oxygen content using a fan stirred heated mixture of plain air and inert reference gas in varying proportions.


Example (worst-case) deviation of LSM11B from original LSM11 output under identical conditions. This is NOT a measure of absolute accuracy, it is a measure of difference of outputs. Both the LSM11 and LSM11B will have their own deviations from the ideal curve depending on the particular sensor under test. This can be dialled out using static offset adjustment.


Example output from our own design LSM11B linearising interface to demonstrate that we can achieve five wire wideband comparable performance using a four wire sensor.

Electronic module capable of using standard four wire sensor to emulate LSM11B output. Currently in development, pending decisions on final feature set. Custom designed and manufactured in the UK, this module allows modern sensors to be used in place of original Bosch LSM11 sensors.

This unit provides an exact modelling of the traditional LSM-11 output curve for excess oxygen (lean) outputs as found in biomass combustion processes.

Features:

  1. Uses sensor element of modern construction, retaining the robustness, long life and simplicity of a narrowband sensor
  2. Precision circuitry models LSM-11 output precisely for the excess oxygen regime (lean) as found in biomass combustion processes.
  3. Industrial grade components rated to 110 degrees C ambient temperature, through-hole PCB construction with sealed box to IP54 gives vibration resistance and long life
  4. Control module requires just power (input) and signal connections (output). Takes its power from the original LSM11 heater supply
  5. Lineariser output gives 0-5 volt linear output in proportion to O2 concentration, for direct interfacing to PLC without need for complex and difficult to program non-linear lookup tables.
  6. Manual rotary control offset adjustment
